Fed: New website will help people recycle

Australian households can go green with ease following the the launch of a website
listing recycling services in different local government areas.

Planet Ark today launched the website -- www.recyclingnearyou.com.au -- which details
recycling information in 3,000 postcodes areas.

Plant Ark founder JON DEE says many people just dump rubbish in recycling bins without
realising they are doing the wrong thing.

He says too much rubbish that could be recycled is ending up in landfill.

Mr DEE says the website covers remote and urban areas and should answer questions about
what can and cannot be recycled.
