NSW: Body pulled from Hawkesbury River
SYDNEY, Aug 13 AAP - Police pulled a body from the Hawkesbury River yesterday and believeit may be that of a man who runabout struck a pylon more than a week ago.
A formal identification process would be required to ensure the body is that of 59-year-oldIan Gray Mathieson who went missing on August 3, a police spokesman said.
His twin hull aluminium vessel collided with the F3 road bridge just 250 metres awayfrom where his body was found, police said.
The body was spotted by a person shortly before 4pm (AEST) yesterday and recoveredby the Kuring-gai Local Area Command.
Forensic police attended the scene and a post mortem examination will be conductedat the Westmead Coroners Court.
